If the Filipinos retake Guam from United States through some legal process, would the Philippines be reunited with the Mexicans culturally and feel whole again with the Pacific Ocean?

guam was never a part of the philippines,

Retake Guam? Was Guam a former territory of the Philippines? I must have missed something in history. I doubt people of Guam including Filipinos living in Guam would like to be under the Philippine government.

Interesting! Guam was treated as part of Spain’s colony in the Philippines according to Wikipedia. So, technically we have some right to Guam? Maybe if Spaniards retake us again it will happen? I don’t know! But your question is good. =)
    ADD:
Okay so Spaniards invaded us and Americans helped us to be free but then they took Guam as their territory now so I think it’s kinda illegal because imagine it’s part of our country just before they come to defend us. Hummm..
Yes yes to retake, I hope Philippine government will fight for it.

The Philippines cannot "retake" something that they never had. Every place outside of Europe was once a colony of a European country. The Philippines just happened to be colonized by Spain at the same time as all of Latin America and many islands in the Pacific ocean. The Philippines has no claim to any of these former Spanish holdings, including Guam. And, I’m sure if the Guamanian people wanted their independence, I’m sure the US would oblige. They depend on the US for everything.

That would be very good for the country and people of Philippines but I don’t think that could ever happen. The political system and government is destructive to every generation. How could filipino’s handle Guam when there’s massive issues to handle in Philippines.

I think filipino’s know how to manage and govern but there is always a break down in anything that filipino’s control because there is some kind of illegal corrupt activity going on somewhere in the system. Cheating, fraud, greed, selfishness, insecurity, bribery, no long term vision and can not see into the future of brighter day for everyone. A continuous down hill process of destruction.

No but I think that if China retook the Philippines through some military or legal process the Chinese would be reunited. Or perhaps not since China really never owned the Philippines as far as I know. Perhaps though if China did take over the Philippines then you would ask questions about China retaking Guam. I’m not sure about the Mexican cultural connection but I do know that the filipinos would be culturally connected to the Columbians and people of Argentina.

The Philippines cant look after itself, how can it look after Guam?

Reunited with the Mexicans culturally? What does Guam have to do with either Mexico or the Philippines? The only link is that they were at one time a Spanish colony, which the Spanish werent too keen on holding on to anyway because they gave them up to the Americans.

The Philippines and Mexico are two completely different cultures – the only thing they share in common is Spanish colonialisation and the Spanish language. Before the Spanish colonised Mexico, the whole of Mexico used to be a series of Ameridian tribes including the Aztecs.

Before the Spanish colonised the Philippines, the Philippines was little more than islands each with its own culture, dialect, race. The main island of Luzon – in what is today Manila the capital of pi was the centre for Muslim leaders who traded throughout SE Asia.

The Philippines – 7,000 islands with its own distinct dialect and history apart from the Central government in Manila and the Tagalog language holding the 7,000 islands together – has very little in common with each island let alone another former colony of the Spanish in Mexico.

I understand where this question is coming from – the Philippines and Mexico do share some similarities economically / socially / politically – apart from their colonial past – but i think that the two countries have their own worlds to really come together in any attempt to share a common past.

Interesting concept – but flawed due to reality.

Guam is a US territory, and remains that way because the people of Guam never decided to become either independant or apply for US statehood. Theoretically, Guam citizens could vote for independance, and lose thier status as US citizens, (as the philippines did), then Guam could open dialog with Philippines about ‘joining’ them as a territory.. lol.. this is so unlikely that it is not funny. As for ‘retaking’ argument seems to be based on the idea that both were once part of the spanish empire? Kind of a weak argument.

If Guam were to decide to become an independant nation, they would have substantial military reserves and national guard forces that would remain under Guam, an airforce, coast gaurd, etc with superior firepower than the Philippines. The Philippines has a superior army in terms of numbers of soldiers, but no airforce or navy to enable the Philippines to project force or defend against invasion. It could be a more likely scenerio that an independant Guam could ‘take’ the philippines, militariliy speaking?
